Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Entebbe Airport and Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Arrive early morning or a day before to kickstart your incredible guaranteed safari. With an overnight stay at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, we set off to the park at a normal pace. Arrive in Ziwa in time for lunch and relax at Amuka Safari Lodge (*subject to availability).

Enjoy a swim and Wi-Fi. At 4 pm East African time, embark on a rhino tracking adventure, taking advantage of the beautiful sunset with rhinos grazing freely. The tracking is done on foot, providing an up-close experience just a meter away from these magnificent creatures. At 6 pm, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2Early Morning Shoebill Tracking & Transfer to Murchison

Wake up as early as 5 am for shoebill stork tracking. These large stork-like birds, with their dinosaur-like appearance, are docile with humans.

Drive through Uganda’s largest National Park, enjoying sightings of giraffes and other wildlife. This day offers the chance to see all the Big Five. Later, transfer to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3Morning Boat Cruise and Transfer to Kibale Forest Park

Early morning, after breakfast, drive through the park to the starting point for a boat cruise on the Nile. Witness a variety of wildlife, including hippos, birds, crocodiles, and elephants.

The cruise continues up to the bottom of Murchison Falls, named after the park, before returning. Afterward, drive to Kibale Forest National Park, the “planet of apes,” with lunch en-route.

Day 4Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning, engage in a chimpanzee tracking experience in the rainforest—the Planet of Apes. Meet and greet chimpanzees, our close genetic relatives, spending an hour with them.

Hike back to headquarters, receive certificates, and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park with lunch en-route.

Day 5Morning Carnivore Search and Evening Boat Cruise

Guaranteed Big Five experience! In the early morning, head to the briefing point, get your tracking rangers and GPS ready, and embark on a unique off-tracking experience through the savannah.

Witness lions and leopards, enjoying them for over an hour. Continue the search for elephants and buffaloes, completing your Big Five checklist.

Later, enjoy an evening boat cruise along a 32-kilometer natural channel, known for its large concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 6 Drive to Kampala with a Stop at Uganda Equator After Breakfast

After breakfast, relax, and then commence your 7-hour drive to Kampala with a stop at the Uganda Equator. Have lunch along the way, savor the cultural experience while driving through villages and plantations, marking the end of your safari.
